Tehama Assisted Living

When the mandate came from Governor Newsom to vaccinate staff at assisted living facilities, all the facilities in Tehama County immediately implemented that. So 100% of the residents and the employees at assisted living homes in Tehama County are fully vaccinated. MANY residents are still testing positive for covid. Many of the beds at St Elizabeth’s are being used to hold covid positive vaccinated assisted living residents for the 14 day isolation period, REGARDLESS OF NEED FOR HOSPITAL CARE, before the facilities are allowing the covid + resident to return.

There is no transparency being used in hospital statements to differentiate between symptomatic and asymptomatic covid+ patients, or patients who have recovered from covid but are simply convenience stays at the hospital until they will be accepted back into their nursing home. The nursing homes are also not reporting their covid+ outbreaks despite being fully vaccinated.
