It is also able to provide electronic warfare and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities.

Hi. There are always Air Force in the air, about five at a time, patrolling. They have cruise missiles. It is SAC, Strategic Air Command.
But these aren’t the routes of the SAC. SAC is watching for nuclear invasion.
I saw where one flight went to Oxnard. There’s a SeaBee base and also Point Magoo where many planes. When I was five, we attended a Space exhibition there. On display were the space capsules.
When a teen, I lived on an Aleutian island with underground missiles at the ready to be fired.

My dad was an army pilot when I was young and after he got out we lived near Pt Mugu – I spent a lot of time watching planes fly from there. I have military family and friends – some who weigh in. I have been watching the sky for quite a while. In Jan we had a HUGE increase in mil flights. They slowed down for a few months but we have been seeing some major flights recently.
A couple weeks ago there were rumors of Chinese subs off our coast – that same day we had numerous big surveillance planes, bombers and weapons planes, and fighter jets along both coasts and north and south borders. I give the descriptions for the major planes in the posts. Yes some are command centers – We normally see one at most flying and not necessarily every day. When we have 3-8, command & communication centers – I have to wonder what’s up. We have been seeing numerous anti-sub warfare (which do not generally fly).
I don’t have answers – I know there are training flights and just general oversight – these happen all the time. But P-8s and B-52s are not normal. When we see numerous reconnaissance craft in the same area – they’re looking for something.
